Kailash Hills celebrated Independence Day on 15 August 2025 with the 1st Kailash Hills Sammaan Mahotsav. The celebration was organised by the Kailash Hills Community Association (KHCA) and the Senior Citizens Forum, Kailash Hills, in association with Rising Stars, KHEF (Kailash Hills Economic Forum), Green Army and Yog & Aerobics Pariwaar.
Residents of all ages gathered in the park in tricolour stoles, sarees and turbans. The national flag was hoisted above a marigold rangoli, and everyone stood together and sang as it unfurled. Team members and guests were then welcomed on stage with tricolour safas.
The stage filled with colour. Girls and children presented patriotic dances, ladies dressed in saffron, white and green gave a special performance, and soon residents young and old joined a joyful group dance, with flags waving on the lawn. Children also sat on the lawn to draw.
The Sammaan part of the day honoured the people who make our colony better:
- Security and support staff were felicitated on stage with stoles and gifts.
- Star trophies were presented, including the Legend of Kailash Hills Award, Rising Stars of Kailash Hills and the Green Army Warrior Award.
- Children received prizes for their drawings, and the young performers were thanked with gifts.
Food stalls, a tea stall and plenty of group photos made it a warm day together for the whole community.
